Self-levelling is a coloured, liquid, cement-based formula, applied onto an existing screed.
Self-levelling is cast to a thickness of 3-6mm. Its appearance is seamless, smooth and very slightly mottled and needs no expansion joints, although part of the full application may finish on one day and then continue the next day in a discreet position, for instance under a closed door, which will then need a cover strip.
National Crete products should only be cast on a sound concrete base, cement screed, or cementitious base, cured and dried for at least 3 weeks. National Crete does not recommend casting of Self-levelling over paint, tiles, brick paving or any other form of floor covering. For renovations, remove existing floor coverings such as tiles, wooden floors, carpets etc. and prepare Substrate accordingly.
Self-levelling is our most popular application because it is:
- easy to applicate
- a great substitute for other floor coverings such as carpets, tiles, wood or vinyl floors,
- easy to clean,
- for interior or exterior use.
